I've recently completed my first Game of Thrones sketch card commission of Daenerys Targaryen. I think this is my best piece yet. Trying to master any medium has it's challenges and rewarding outcomes. This was completed with acrylic and colored pencils.

Candy Girl
Below is a painting of a girl and her candies. I've been observing a variety of artists' works dealing dealing with candid shots of people. I'm still trying to reach my goal of a convincing yet powerful composition. This painting was completed with acrylics on 11x17inch multi media paper.

A painting of Marvel's Scarlet Witch. My efforts toward a more believable realism is what I continue to strive for.

Johnny Depp
A painting for a friend. Acrylic on canvas. 8x10. I think I'll begin painting various celebrities involved with show/movies I've seen. I'm still trying to better my skills with capturing likenesses.

Caricature Painting
A painting for a friend. My goals are to create works that have movement and great composition. This project is in the right direction in the development of my goals, I think. All in all, this turned out well. On to the next project...

Administrator Pencil Finish
Below is the final pencil drawing of an administrator friend. As an educator myself, I'm familiar with the variety of behaviors that exist among children. The faces may change, sometimes not, but the behaviors are strangely similar. To capture this reality, I've tried to capture some of the expressions and behaviors that exist among children. As I think about these qualities that flourish in schools, it brings a smile to my face and joy to my soul.

Dog Portrait
Here's a portrait I drew for a friend of mine. Drawing the hair on dogs are a bit challenging for me. Mostly the fine hair on these two dogs. I think people are easier for me to draw and create shadows because their faces are smooth, but creating an illusion of hair on these dogs required a different approach. To make for a more challenging project was the size. This portrait is a 22 inches by 30 inches. This is the biggest portrait I've done.
