Mash Up Piece of Art

A couple of friends of mine had ask me (along with other artists) to be part of a Miami Vice mix mash up of another pop culture icon. The Avengers is what I came up with to meet this challenge. 11X17 Acrylic painting. ‪#‎MiamiViceMashUp‬

A painting sketch of the joker? Why so serious? A bit of spatters and black ink. Always fun to experiment with a variety of techniques.

Here is a splash page of Batman leaping above the city. I found a sample script online to help me create sequential art to submit to publishers.

"Call This Guy." Ha. A painting of DeadPool completed in acrylic paint. I began with black ink. Then a gray tonal wash to bring in various levels of shadows. Finally, I added in color and text.

Here is my approach and technique in time lapse. It's of Mysterio, super villain to Spiderman.

Guardians of the Galaxy

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy was a fun and entertaining movie. Two of my favorite characters are Rocket and Groot from the movie. I liked them quite a bit so I created an acrylic painting of them.  I'll post the Youtube time lapse video soon.

Guardians of the Galaxy Speed painting part 1

I'm continue to practice documenting my painting process. In this Part 1 of 2 speed painting video involves a tonal wash base of Rocket and Groot. I'll post the next video and final composition shortly.

Here is the Flash painting caught on video. The process is quite quick, but I think the final product is well rendered.

I just completed the other guy in a red suit. Merry Christmas! Acrylic on multi-media paper.
I've been watching the new CW Flash series. It has me entertained with the story line, characters, and cliff hanger...especially at the finale. Looking forward to new episodes in January.

Daenerys Targaryen

I've recently completed my first Game of Thrones sketch card commission of Daenerys Targaryen. I think this is my best piece yet. Trying to master any medium has it's challenges and rewarding outcomes. This was completed with acrylic and colored pencils.
